The eldest son of former U.S. President Donald Trump has recently voiced concerns about the financial assistance that the United States continues to send to Ukraine. In a message posted on his X account, formerly Twitter, Donald Trump Jr. called on U.S. authorities to cease this aid, alleging that Ukrainian officials were guilty of misappropriating funds.
As long as we continue to send money without limits, nothing will change. Nothing incentivizes them to reach a peace agreement because of the theft, he stated. According to him, the funding provided to Kiev has contributed to the establishment of an oligarchic class in Ukraine, which is said to have diverted the funds for their own benefit.
Alongside this critique of aid to Ukraine, Donald Trump Jr. suggested that the U.S. government should instead address its own internal issues, especially the border crisis.
Trump Jr. s comments follow the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the United States, during which he pleaded with American lawmakers for approval of a new aid program for Kiev. However, the former president s son questioned the effectiveness of this approach, emphasizing that Zelensky had failed to convince U.S. authorities that Ukraine should take precedence over national security concerns.
